Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Previews Day Two!

Welcome BACK!! It's day TWO of Waltzingmouse Stamps November release previews and boy have we got some eye candy for you today. We are bringing you TWO more fantabulous sets - Vintage Christmas background and Compliments of the Season 2. Our extremely talented design team have put together a showcase of amazing inspiration and wonderful ideas so be sure to visit each of their blogs - you do NOT want to miss out.

After my Pink and Teal cards yesterday I decided to go with traditional Christmas colours for today's previews! Again, my card is A6 size ( 148mm x 105mm or 5.8" x 4.1"). The Vintage Background stamp is PERFECT for this size card.. and a little larger if you want to go there :)

I inked up half of the background stamp with Stampin' Up Ruby Red and the other half with Stampin' Up Mellow Moss inks. Stamped it down onto some plain white card and then cut it down to size. I stamped out the MERRY CHRISTMAS with memento black in as I was going to colour it in with my copics but then decided that I liked the outline look better. I stitched all of my papers down before adding some white lace and wine red ribbon, to which I had tied some red/white bakers around. To finish I made some pearls with the Opal Viva Decor paper pen.

As I was itching to play some more I hopped over to the FREEBIES section of the WMS Store and got myself  the template for the Three Kings boxes (or as I call them - Christmas crackers!! lol.. and I only made one!)

I printed the template out on regular copier paper and stuck it to my cardstock with removable glue. Once i had it all cut out and scored I inked up the Vintage Christmas background stamp with Ruby Red ink, stamped it out onto white card and cut it down to fit on each panel of the cracker. I used the same baker's twine as I had on the card to close up the cracker and made a circular tag using one of the sentiments from Compliments of the Season 2. I threaded the baker's twine through both the tag and a silver bell and secured them with a bow - so my cracker jingles when it's moved :D

The "Merry Christmas" sentiment is also from Compliments of the Season 2 and stamped it out onto white card with Memento black ink. Then I cut it out with oval nestabilies and adhered it on 3D foam to the front of the cracker.

For your convenience, below is the list of ladies who are participating in today's previews.....

Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Previews Day One

Good MORNING!! Today kicks off  the Waltzingmouse Stamps November Release Festivities and we are showcasing TWO amazing new sets to whet your appetite - Yonder Star and Yonder Star Background. These fantastic sets work SO well together, as you will see as you visit each of the design team ladies' blogs

I am just love love loving making A6 cards right now. I created 2 very similar cards using the Yonder Star Background but different elements from the Yonder Star stamp set.

Of course I just HAD to do a PINK Christmas card :D

Supplies -
Yonder Star & Yonder Star Background
Pink Cardstock
White Cardstock
Victorian Velvet Distress Ink
Stampin' Up Black Ink
We 'R' Memory Keepers white wide eyelet
White Grosgrain ribbon

And then I made one in my favourite colour (and you thought that was PINK! lol), teal !! Strangely enough, my ribbon looks bright blue but I assure you it's not. It's actually a light teal colour. My camera is a strange creature :/

For this card I used a dark teal base card. I inked up the Yonder Star Background with Stampin UP Baja Breeze laying it down very lightly towards the top of the stamp so that it would fade out from from the bottom up. Then I added a little Pine Needles Distress ink in places to darken it down some and distress it further. I used the same 2 inks for the centre feature, and I used Memento Black for the sentiment. To finish my card I tied a little metal star charm to the LIGHT TEAL!! ribbon with some natural button twine

Supplies -
Yonder Star & Yonder Star Background
Teal Cardstock
White Cardstock
Stampin' UP Baja Breeze & Tim Holtz Pine Needles distress ink
Ribbon
Metal Charm

Well that's it from me but below is the list of lovely ladies also showcasing these stamps today - do pop over and say hello!!

Have FUN!!!

Quixotic Paperie - What Big Eyes

Hi!! Well it's that time of year again.... seems every year coming up to Halloween and Christmas I get an overwhelming urge to make treat bags and boxes, lol. Today, for my Quixotic Paperie DT project I took the whole Little Red Riding Hood bringing food to Grandma idea and made a Treat Bag featuring What Big Eyes from the Susana Loves Stamps 'Eyes' collection.

I stamped my image out onto Make it Colour blending card with memento black ink. I coloured her up with copics and Touch Twin markers and trimmed her. Then I set her aside while I prepared the bag. Using coordinating inks I stamped a background and then some leaves. The Seeds packet image, Goodwill sentiment and the leaves are from Waltzingmouse Stamps. I used Touch Twin markers for the leaves.

I cut out some kraft tickets using MFT Die-Namics ticket strips die, then I stamped my sentiment onto it. I layered up the leaves and adhered the sentiment ticket with 3D foam dots. Then I glued a metal watering can onto the ticket. Once I had the bag completed I folded the top down twice and punched 2 holes using my crop-a-dile and threaded some gingham ribbon through it.

Challenges:
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Deep Ocean Challenge - Anything Goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything but a card
Sweet Stamps - Altered Item

Kraftin' Kimmie Anniversay Challenges

It's an Anniversary Celebration over on Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and we have some FUN challenges for you!!

My challenge is to make a Circle Card!! I just love how quick and easy these are to make, and below is a quick tutorial on how I make my Circle Cards!!

Supplies:
Paper: My Mind's Eye Lime Twist
White Card
Classic Circle & Scalloped Circle Nestabilities
Viva Decor Paper Pen
Cuttlebug (or similar)
Paper trimmer
Adhesive

 1) Fold the white card in half and using the largest of the circle nestabilites cut out the card base. Run it through your cutter a couple of times to ensure it cuts through the two layers. Using the same size die cut out a circle of double sided patterned paper. If you are not using double sided papers cut 2 circles of coordinating paper.

2) Taking the largest for the scalloped circle dies cut out the backing cardstock.

3) Cut the patterned paper in half and use opposite sides. Adhere them to the cardstock and then adhere the cardstock to the white card base, ensuring that the front panel is straight.

4) Colour your image, trim it out and adhere it to the front panel using 3D foam dots. Use some of the leftover white card for the sentiment, cutting one end into a fishtail and slipping the other end slightly under your image. To compete the card adhere some pearls or use the Viva Decor paper pen to make your own pearls. (You could also use buttons, etc, instead of pearls)

You could WIN some Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps AND you'll have a chance to become a Krafty Guest for December!!! Pull out one of your Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and get krafty!!!

You have until Monday night, October 8th, to submit your design HERE! Just click on the little blue froggie to add your card and if you'd like to be considered for the Krafty Guest spot, please add a -KG beside your name when uploading!!!

Happy kraftin'!!
